This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit, make an inquiry, or make a purchase from www.emcc.tech and the EMCC mobile application (For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, both the website and application shall be referred to as the “Platform”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you access the service via the Platform, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including the type of mobile device you use, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, your mobile operating system, information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Platform, we collect information about the individual pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Platform, and information about how you interact with the Platform. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Platform, and collect data including type of mobile device you use, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, your mobile operating system, your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
  • “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Platform.

Additionally, when you make an inquiry or attempt to make an inquiry through the Platform, or conversations and in other correspondence (including via email and telephone), we collect certain information from you, including:

a) your name, country, phone number, email address, and inquiries;

b) payment or credit card information, billing address, shipping address;

c) login and account information;

d) your communication and marketing preferences;

e) your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses;

f) other personal data that you submit to us, such as information you provide to register for email alerts or correspond with us in relation to inquiries.

We refer to these above information as “Inquiry Information”.

We are also working closely with and may receive information about you from third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, and credit reference agencies). We also collect personal data from publicly available sources, including any which you have shared via a public platform (such as a Twitter feed, public Facebook page, and public LinkedIn page). We refer to these information as “Third-party Information”.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about all the information mentioned above.

We do not collect any special category personal data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Inquiry Information and Third-party Information that we collect generally to enter into, and perform, contracts with you that you have requested, including answering your inquiry; building a profile of your preferences so that we can ensure our services are provided when you need them; sending you welcome and periodic emails/messages that provide details on our product and service. Additionally, we use this Inquiry Information and Third-party Information to:

  1. Communicate with you;
  2. To enable us to manage customer service interactions with you.
  3. To keep a record of your relationship and purchase history with us.
  4. Performance of a contract with you;
  5. To manage our relationship with you, including notifying you about changes to our terms or this privacy policy and asking you to leave a review or take a survey.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Platform (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Platform, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We strive to provide you with choices regarding certain personal data uses, particularly around marketing and advertising. You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us or purchased products or services from us, or if you provided us with your details when you entered a competition or registered for a promotion and, in each case, you have expressly consented to receiving that marketing.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. Additionally, if you are a European resident, we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an inquiry through the Platform), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to China, Canada and the United States.

DATA RETENTION

When you make an inquiry through the Platform, we will maintain your Inquiry Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

MINORS

The Platform is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from anyone under the age of 16.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
